What is Skat?

BoardgameGeek rates Skat at 7.25/10 - one of the highest scores of any card game, and the book of Hoyle gives Skat 3 stars out of 3. Skat is a 3-handed trick-taking card game that originated in Germany around 1810. Skat combines elements of Contract Bridge, Hearts, Euchre, and Pinochle, which makes it one of the most exciting and challenging card games in the world. Skat is played worldwide at home, in pubs, clubs, and online.

There are annual tournaments in many North American cities, as well as regional and international events, such as the Canadian, US, North American, European, and the World Championships. Challenge, fellowship, and fun for the whole family, that's Skat! All North American clubs welcome new members. Come out and join us, we'll get you up to speed in no time!
